EVERGREEN Cruises and Tours’ brand new ship, Emerald Harmony, has set sail this month, cruising the Mekong River.

The ship is the operator’s eighth ‘Star-Ship’ and first of the fleet to sail outside Europe.

Emerald Harmony has capacity for 84 guests and features typical Star-Ship inclusions such as spacious suites and public areas, as well as a sun and pool deck, wellness area with spa, the Horizon Bar and Lounge and Reflections Restaurant. In addition the ship has a Lotus Lounge, unique to the vessel, offering a space for travellers to relax after exploring the shore.

Harmony is specially designed to cruise right into the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, giving travellers the chance to hop off the ship and start exploring straight away.

The vessel will operate the 13-day Majestic Mekong Discoverer cruise which starts with a three-night hotel stay in Siem Reap before boarding Harmony in Prek’kdam and sailing through Cambodia and Vietnam over seven-nights before arriving into Ho Chi Minh City for a two-night stay at a hotel. Highlights of the trip include a visit to My An Hung village, a trip to the Killing Fields and Tourl Sleng Genocide Museum and a Phnom Penh Tuk-Tuk drive by night.

The ship is proving to be popular, with Evergreen’s Director of Sales, Marketing and Product, Angus Crichton revealing Emerald Harmony‘s maiden season is already 90% sold.
