TOURISM New Zealand and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) recently joined forces to launch an advertising campaign designed to encourage holiday-makers to be more aware when camping throughout the country.

The Camp with Care campaign, which will run in NZ until the end of March, encourages people to stay only at campsites with facilities, use the public toilets available, and remove all their litter.

“While the vast majority of campers do the right thing, our research tells us some people need guidance on where and how to camp responsibly… this campaign provides that,” said Tourism New Zealand Chief Executive Stephen England-Hall.
