This unique 11-day small group journey with just three departures offers rare insight to what makes Tasmania tick. One of A&K’s Resident Tour Guides accompanies the trip as it kicks off in Hobart with a stay at the storied MACq01. A conservation immersion awaits in the Huon Valley at the Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy supported Raptor Refuge where important rehabilitation work is being done with injured birds of prey. From conservation to contemporary (and confronting) art, a visit to eclectic Mona is sure to create lasting impressions accessed in the fast ferry Posh Pit, while Bruny Island and its artisan providores promise cheese, chocolate and honey tastings amplified with a rainforest hike.

The spectacular landscapes and rare wilderness at Lake St Clair National Park are revealed on hikes and a cruise down the mighty Gordon River through the World Heritage Wilderness Area. At Cradle Mountain, more activities beckon with walks or a private wine and cheese tasting. More art experiences are included amidst the quirky installations around Sheffield and at Risby Cove on the Strahan waterfront where a personalised tour of Cove Gallery is included with the curator and a chance to admire the eclectic collection of works by accomplished Tasmanian artists housed within the converted, century-old sawmill workshop.
