IT WOULD be difficult to imagine a better way to explore the Mediterranean than cruising its serene waters aboard a 13-day Viking cruise visiting several ancient ports in six countries. The history and flavours of the Mediterranean can be enjoyed at every point, whether that is by walking through the leafy streets of the fortified town of Aix-en-Provence in Marseille, enjoying a private tour of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco in Monte Carlo, or chowing down on the famous pizza pies of Naples in Italy (home to the world’s first pizzeria in 1830).
